They’re big, they’re nasty, they smell bad … can we see where I am going with this one?
It makes logical sense that the Golden D6′s first ever group project would be a Warhammer Ogre Kingdom’s army!
I have promised myself to get these finished by ConVIC or else I will have to suffer the ignomy of using Chaos Dwarves.
Post Liber Animus, we at the Golden D6 are a little 40K’d out. That still leaves Mordheim, Bloodbowl and of course Warhammer Fantasy … so, after some scouring of the “Buy and Sell” forum on wargamerau, Dave managed to score a fair amount of Ogres. Certainly not a complete army, but certainly one that is adequate to start with. There’s a Tyrant, a Butcher, a Gorger, a Giant, some Ironguts and about a dozen or so Bulls.

Now, as you can see, they’re in the process of being assembled and undercoated. At this point, one Gorger and six Bulls are in various stages of being painted. As soon as I find my camera, more pictures will follow! The paint scheme has been decided (thanks to Sammy for the awesome skin colour scheme!!). The interesting thing will be individual interpretations of the theme.
Having looked at the army list, these buggers are well tough and relatively easy to play. This is pretty sweet because *ahem* the Golden D6 as a collective is not the power house with the Warhammer that they are with the Warhammer 40000.
In a first for me, I have done some research (preliminary) into Ogre Kingdoms tactics.
